Oven-Baked Bloomin’ Pears

Ingredients:

– 4 large pears (Bosc or Anjou varieties work well)

– 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

– 1/4 cup brown sugar

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

 

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Wash and core the pears, leaving the bottoms intact so they can stand upright.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon.
  4. Place the cored pears on a baking sheet or in a baking dish.
  5. Using a pastry brush or spoon, generously coat each pear with the buttery cinnamon sugar mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the pears are tender and caramelized.
  7. Once baked, remove from the oven and let them cool slightly.
  8. Serve the warm baked pears as is or top them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgent treat!
